An internet performance

Unread post by Ranting Thespian » Mon Dec 08, 2003 3:35 am

I was wondering if you guys would listen to me doing an online performance of originals and covers. I have tried and failed on the ones I have tried, but being this a nice and respectful board, I thought I'd ask you guys. Also, the program I would use is called Paltalk. It is a chat and messege program that is pretty simple, and not huge to download. It is built around having good quality video and sound for low bandwidth, hence mine being 56k. The sound is very good, the servers are very realiable, and if you can use aim, yahoo, or msn chats, it's easy. There is a huge section of the clien just for music.

Anyways, would anyone care for me to do this?

i'd watch/listen, or try to, depending on the time, and my college's awesome policy on freshmen being able to listen to music (which is not at all)....

I take every gif I watch (which is A LOT) with a humongous grain of salt. But I don't let that grain of salt get into my eye and blind me to whatever truth can be found in what I'm watching. He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

I would definitely be interested, assuming that I'm around when you do it. I always love watching/hearing other musicians play, especially if they play DMB stuff :D

but if this is the only people interested, I might not do it then.

Is anyone else interested?

well thank you for the 3 who posted (out of 81 views :( ).

I guess that no one really cares for this, so I guess it's off.

Thanks for the replies though chosta, bigspeen, and stlcardinal.

I've opened dmb chats on yahoo before. People come in, but half are assholes. Also, the sever has problems leaving the audio on. The reason why I asked this board was because I can trust you guys to give me honest feedback, and be a friendly bunch of people.

Also, I wasn't planning a just dmb concerts, bout about 50% oritginals, 30% dmb, and 20% others.

I will ask again, who would listen to this performance?

yeah there are the assholes but we take care of them mostly it's just folks that like to play guitar in there! and people that like to listen... alot of them do originals also the "voice thing" on the other hand well....that just yahoo, but it's been working well for me latley...

as i said before i'd be interested in listening to a performance if you did one!
