Hard time fitting # chords in anywhere. Help?
When I have a progression with 'normal' chords [but in abnormal fingering] I am finding it hard to like fit in a C#m or F#, etc. Strange question, but where do these fit nicely and is there a theory about their place in progressions?

the C#m chord fits in the key of E. so if you watch for songs in E then you're bound to find C#m there. progression example: E - A - B - C#- A - B - E. or any combination. you can also through F#m and G#m in there too which are a couple more minor chords in the key of E.
F# chord is a main chord in the key of B. (example Lightning Crashes by Live.) chords to play with these are E, C#m, D#m, G#m.
hope this helps a bit.

I take every gif I watch (which is A LOT) with a humongous grain of salt. But I don't let that grain of salt get into my eye and blind me to whatever truth can be found in what I'm watching. He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

Back to the original topic...I am a big fan of A# which falls in the key of F and Dm (same thing basically, just in application, you would begin on D and resolve on D). Bouncing from Dm to A# to Dm to C sounds like a nice little pattern that I have toyed with recently. Try it.
