When you type in Betterman, it's the very first video. That being said, i actually think that some of the other vids on there may be better.

okayy.. i stopped playing this for a while and magically it just clicked when i tried again.. except for the strumming pattern for the chorus...i know this is an odd request.. but since it doesnt sound too complicated could someone just tell me the DUDDUUDU for the chorus haha.. ill be able to figure it out using that and the song

are you using an open tuning for this? i was pretty sure that i wanted to learn this song but it was in an open tuning so i didn'mt cause i hate retuning my guitar. if not, can you post the tab?

edit: and don't worry so much about strumming patterns. play it how it's comfortable naturally to you and i guarentee that it'll be almost exactly how they play it. artists don't write down strum patterns. they just do what comes natural when they write the song

If you watch Ed on some of the videos he's just moving around the D chord shape up and down the neck for the most part. Here's the tab from given to wail, it looks pretty accurate.

Code: Select all

Author/Artist: Pearl Jam

Listen to CD for strumming patterns.
The picking in the chorus isn't 100% accurate but it's pretty close.
G1 is clean electric, G2 is an acoustic and G3 is an electric on moderate
distortion.
The bit before the intro is wierd, the chords are A#,C,G,Dm.
It also has a weird timing, but thats all i could work out from it.
