Also IMO Kid A was way better then OK Computer. Granted OK Computer was very good, I still think Kid A was much better.

Radiohead is great though. Find some of their live stuff, that's the good stuff.

sorry, it was my opinion though.

I missed a radiohead topic. A pretty amazing band. They just keep getting better. I'm stuck between OKC and amnesiac as a best. Amnesiac is just so incredible for what it is, and what it is able to portray. Its so fucking dark. And OKC just plain rules.

The band has created a sound of its own. Lots of sources have deemed them the new beatles, creating a new sound for others to follow. Yorke is genius. Greenwood is genius. The two together make a Lennon and McCartney pair. The music is just incredible.

And it may sound weird, but thats what makes it great, and original.

Radiohead has some of the deepest most beautiful lyrics taht absolutley do not make sense, but are completley understandable. Their music is a symphony of everything, complicated as it may be, and just so delicatly unique. Their vocals are symply put... beauty.

definitely a great band, but I get really irritated at those freaks that claim Radiohead is the best band. I got into an argument with some guy about who was better DMB or Radiohead...I was like, yeah, if you're a depressing loser that wants to shoot himself, than yea, Radiohead is better than DMB....but if you are the slightest bit happy, you'll pick DMB over Radiohead any day of the week. I definitely respect them as artists, but their music is easy as pie, and not a damn thing compared to Dave's....especially when talkin about guitar work...just night and day. The society is so clueless about what good music is. It's really not their "opinion" it's just plain ignorance.

You really think so man? I would have to say dave is a much simpler artist than radiohead. I mean just look at their electronica and new age albums. Its total genius. As for guitar work I find some of it pretty tough, and cut them some slack, they have 3.

Their music can be described as anything but simple imo. Their songwriting is very inventive and complex. It's what sets them apart from most of todays bands.

they are awesome. the basic guitar parts are easy but they do more experimenting than trying to be guitar heroes. just look at fake plastic trees. really easy chords w/ a few simple "lead" parts but the song totally stands up because they are awesome.

like I said, I respect them...they ARE one of my fav bands...however, the Dave Matthews Band is completely dominant...unless you want to kill yourself.

i dont think a single noise on any of their albums can be called "random." they take a notoriously long itme in the studio crafting their albums.

Yeah. Just for example, the song "knives out" on amnesiac took over 300 hours of studio time to complete.

PS-Don't turn away music because it is depressing. Radiohead hates the crap they get for all that.

they may have planned it, but i draw a very fine line between what i consider enjoyable music and just noise.

Hail to the theif has become my favorite cd, because when i was shrooming recently i put the cd on and discovered how my mind revolved around the cd... myxametosis and punch up at a wedding, and 2+2=5 gave me some incredible visuals and smoe really powerful thought provoking stuff... i was seeing angel wings on the walls, in shadow form.. truely a lovely experience listening to Radiohead and tripping. Infact, i'd say that Kid A and Hail To The Theif are my two favorite cd'sright now (ideoteque fuckin brilliant song).
