Pickup's and Preamps for Martin

Unread post by greykitkat36 » Tue Nov 14, 2006 8:56 pm

So I'm buying a Martin..but I want to be able to plug it into an amp or PA of some sort...would it worth it to get a preamp and a pickup installed into it...or should I buy a pickup and pre-amp seperatley? What would be more cost effiecient and what would sound better?

Buy the LR Baggs M1A. I love mine, the best pickup on the market hands down

Isn't the input for that pickup on the pickup? Would I have to drill a hole and make a jack or something? Cause otherwise the guitar cable would be coming out of the soundhole?
