hmm where to now?

ive mastered most of john mayers harder songs, neon, man on the side, and the heart of life(this one was tough for me). i really odnt listen to any other music besides dave, john, and i used to listen to ani difranco. not much any more. im wondering where the path of guitar goes after dave-john-?

Usually artists who play instrumentals have more difficult songs. Tim Reynolds, Tommy Emmanuel. Give Stream a try, it does wonders for both your right and left hand. Van Halen's Spanish Fly is another really hard one. And of course everyone mentions this guy when people want harder songs to play, Justin king. Its true, the tapping stuff really develops you hand strength and rythm. Dueling Ninjas by Trace Bundy is also another good one. Those are my primary artists for difficult material. And if you want an utter mind numbing left hand exercise, Pagannini's 5th Caprice in A minor as transposed by Yngwie Malmsteen is a total bitch. Hope that helps

I second that. You can learn a lot from Jazz. You also might want to get into some fingerpicking. Making use of all those fingers on yo hand.

ill try but everything seems to sound like johns song clarity and #41 made babies.im going to try some tim too, his shits definately hard. and i need to work on learning the notes on the guitar now, and try classical. and of course im going to try justin king. thanks for all the help
