Unread post by seth_southerland » Sat Nov 22, 2003 10:33 pm

my family and i went to the guitar center place in plano, TX and we were looking around and a dude came and helped us, the sales manager, it were, and he said hey try this one out, and it was an Ibanez aw100 artwood dreadnought acoustic, and i played a bit on it and i was like wooowwwwwwwww dude, this is a sweet guitar, so i got that one, but i cant have it till Xmas, which kinda makes me cry but its ok since i know that i have it and ever'thin', but before i left, me and the dude and my dad were talkin about dave and he was like hey, i gotta show ya something, and i was like huh? so he comes back with not just a chet atkins, but a black chet atkins sst, yeah baby, the black one, stars on the fretboard and all, and damn that sumbitch weighs like 15-20 lbs, but it was rockin' cool, i also say way too many guitars in there that cost more than my first car did......lol, thats funny

they have 2 gibson chets and a epiphone chet at the guitar store. I tI've only played thenm a few times. I think one of the gibson chets was sold, though. Also, that's not that heavy of a guitar. Try a Les Paul, they hurt your shoulder after a while (that's why I sit down to play it, lol). Then if you want really heavy guitars, there are some with so much equipment in it, it feels like it will take your arm off.

I've heard that the AW100s are nice. Congratulations.

thanks guys, well that guitar seemed really heavy to me, cuz the guitar i have now is the first one that i got for Xmas last year, its a FirstAct, one of those $80 box deals for beginners, weighs like 7 or 8 lbs, that chet was also weird cuz ive never played a guitar that was so thin before, ive only ever played mine
even though i cant have my new one til Xmas, dad let me have the receipt for it, so im keeping it in front of my monitor so i can see it, its making the wait easier for me
