Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"

Led Zepplin
Page=one of the top 5 guitarists of all time and maybe more versatile than Hendrix or Clapton when you throw in accoustic and fingerpicking styles
Bonham=one of the top 5 drummers of all time
Page=had one of the widest vocal ranges of any major band and could hit a lot of high notes that some good singers couldn't. Also brought a great folky lyric style to add to the mystique of Zep
Jones=the perfect accompanist who was well versed in keyboard, bass and mandolin
I think the dynamic and the wide range of talent puts Zep above all else. They have some songs that are just untouchable.

ya all that guy has his speed in that video. If you give me a few months to practice only finger style and complete usaged of my right hand, then I can make amazingly fast unnecessary runs. it's just using all your fingers, which isn't that hard to attain if you practice enough.ds80mx wrote:he has speed but i dont know if he keep a tight rythem, and u cant really hear the bass when he goin that fast.
and the guitar tapping video was sweet but it woulnt qualify him as the best guitar. imo
EDIT- a good use of fast bass lines would be john myung. just throwing that out there. dream theater has had a good mention in this thread.

True the songwriting isn't that good, but the composition is where Trey and Page really shine. If you ont think Trey is technically talented you are living under a rock.Grachi wrote:i think that should be the other way around... good musicians, the songwriting nothing too special imopraisedave wrote:phish were talented songwriters... but musically? trey's not even that goodfilmdude100cms wrote:dmb, not even close, half the time boyds violin isnt even in tune.... id say flecks up there pretty high... what about phish?
