Between the Bars is really good too. ANything off of EITHER/OR, which is the album that many of the GOOD WILL HUNTING songs were taken from.

There is a really good fan site with great tabs too......

Its called Sweet Adeline

This was the first I had heard that he died. Can you guys give me more info. I checked the boards at that site, but everyone was just talkiing about "that day".

More info would be greatly appreciated. I'm surprised I had not heard about this earlier, as I live in omaha, the town he was born in.

He stabbed himself in the heart, or at least it looked like the wound was self-inflicted. They haven't released much info as to specifics about the case. The only thing that they mentioned in the articles about the suicide was that he was a struggling alcoholic. Who knows if that is what led him to kill himself.

Another eerie fact is that his newest album (which will still be released) was made for SUICIDE RECORDS.

I wrote another post about this right after it happened and there is a link in that post to the MSNBC article about his suicide. Just do a search for him......

Elliott had a great song called 2:45am. That was the first song that I ever tabbed myself. I didn't have any pre-existing tabs to go from, but I picked out the chords and notes by ear. If you haven't heard it, listen to it. It is up there with his other song Say Yes. It is tragic that he died, and I wish that more people would have given him more notice.

I love 2:45am...great song! The again, i love a lot of his songs. I been a fan of his since Good Will Hunting came out and when I found out that he did what he did I was pretty much shattered...I'm still not completely over it. I have been planning on seeing him live since I moved to New York...but I got so busy so I thought oh I'll just wait a while, he plays a lot...
Despite there not being all that many fans of his out there, he will be missed greatly.

what's his best album? i dont know much about him...
"Forget about what you are escaping from," he said, quoting an old maxim of Kornblum's. "Reserve your anxiety for what you are escaping to."

Either/Or is his best. It has a lot of the songs that were eventually put into GOOD WILL HUNTING. Its his last real "acoustic" album too, after that he started using more of a band behind him....
