Matt Costa, what do you think?

Saw him on the Jack Johnson dvd and liked what I saw. Any fans of his here and what do you recommend.

(try to do a search but got a thousand pages of Paul Costa)

matt costa is sweet, he opens for jack during that whole tour for the dvd and i think he still does, some good songs are astair, lullaby, and sunshine

I like Matt Costa. He has a cool vibe. The first song, "yellow taxi", on his songs we sing album really hooked me in for some reason. And the last song on that cd "wash away" I think is just a great soothing track. Overall his songs aren't that hard, like Jack and Donovan, but he has an interesting voice and his lyrics are pretty good. I think you can watch him on sessions @aol so check that out if you want to hear some of his songs. Hope that kinda helps heathcliff

I like what I have heard so far and will check out the AOL sessions. I think he added a New York show and see if I can make it.

When is the new cd supposed to be out?

he's decent...a little too mellow for me, but i like what comes out of Brushfire Records.

I watched some of those AOL sessions vid's and liked what I saw. One of my friends saw him in pittsburg last weekend and said that he sucked live, so who knows...

i've only heard him live on the radio, but he sounded 100x better than jack johnson. i am very curious o get more of his music.

i saw him open for jack last summer, and i definitly liked it. whisky and wine is my favorite tune. he played in toronto last week. i didnt get to see it because of work, but a few friends did and said it was awesome.
