Percussion style help/tab song

I would really like to be able to play Redemption Song like he plays it. I know it's in G major so I can get the chords, but he's slapping and picking or something, I'm not really sure how to imitate the style, which I think is really cool.

Anybody have any pointers? Is it possible to tab somthing like this? Not the whole thing of course, but just enough for me to get the drift of how he's playing it? I'm a beginner but this percussion style sounds like something I'd like to explore.
