where does it snap? near the bridge or near the nut? look for abberations on either that would weaken the string.

also, is it fully snapping or are you just popping the coil?

its snaps right at the nut
first time- just popped the coil
second time- full snap

well like i said check and see if there is a sharp point on the bridge or nut, and if not buy your strings somewhere else.

Happens to me all the time. Ironically, it even happens when I am tuning strings down.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Yea, it's not your bridge if it broke by the tune head. Just changing the tension on strings can cause it to snap at any given time really. Aint it just a bitch too. You go and buy a 15 dollar pack of fuckin strings and one snaps!!!

I always look away when tuning up when the tension gets tighter because I have been hit in the face one to many times from a sanpping string. And it stings like a bitch.
