No acoustic for a week :(

Unread post by cgalves » Tue Oct 14, 2003 5:20 pm

SO, i just dropped off my acoustic at the music shop for them to repair my bent neck or bridge or whatever its called when the two high strings sound like shit ... and its gonna take them about a week to fix it ... UHHH ! And I restringed my roommatest acoustic last night so I would have something to play during that week, but I cut my left index finger in the spot where I usually hold my pick, so I cant even strum till it heals. AND, the action on that POS Epiphone is wayy unusually high, or at least compared with mine, so I cant play it for shit. Damn damn damn, i hate high action. I also hate having to fingerpick. Oh well, maybe I'll finally be able to nail Classical Gas ... and play some electric ....

Anyone else have to go through something similiar? Where your guitar get sent away and you have either a shitty other guitar or no guitar? I think i might go nuts.

Funny. I've been making myself not play this past week because I play too much (to the point where it may be effecting my grades).

one time to a trip out of state for a family reunion, I didn't bring a guitar. I so wish I did. Those 2 days were horrible. My fingers were ancy. Also, I had nothing to do. The only people I knew, were really my aunts and cousins. Plus, when they would be in a place where I could talk with them, out comes the wine, and back to my room I go. (I don't like being around people drinking, since I hate to see the reaction on them). Man, bad weekend. At least I saw some penguins at the zoo :) . Also, for my guitar necks, one took 3 days to fix (my les paul), and for my acoustic, he did it in 7 minutes. Man, I love Corey (works at Good & Loud Music), he makes my guitars sound good, for low prices, in half the time of everywhere else.

i happened to get my action lowered this weekend. i go to school in brookings south dakota and live in rochester so its a 4 hour drive only to get action lowered. ahaha. so i get there and it takes like 2 min. on my washburn it took like a day and it was 45 dollers. this time i watched him do it and it was 5 dollers. hmmmmmmmm. i swear if your not watching them do it, they will charge a lot when really its a simple process. ive done it myself before but i figured id get it done professionally. since u were talking bout lowered action. lol

A fender epiphone? WTF? There must be a typo since Fender and Gibson are enemies.

I had a problem with the neck on my tak going out of shape.. and the bridge was pulling off too.. I was without that guitar for about 3 months while the warranty people farted around. Eventually they just gave me a replacement, but 3 months.. so this "one week" thing is nothing :-p
