I'm trying to find some drop D tunes that sounds good on solo acoustic - thus far, I like Crush and Bartender (naturally) and Everlong by the Foo Fighters, but I'm really in need of some really good Drop D songs to learn... Any ideas?

If you can play fingerstyle try "Letting Go" by Tim. And if you can't play fingerstyle try it anyway.

I'm not really into songs using the power chord thing (I could play just about every green day/offspring/blink song in Drop D with one finger

) - but you know, cool stuff, fingerstyle is cool too, I like "Lullaby" by Creed also...... Anyway, I'll check out I Miss You - Anyone else know anything worthy of attempting?

not necessarily good songs but when your in drop D and play a riff in the key of D/Bm. do that a few times, then make up a chorus. you have a Creed song.
go away

Try some Alice in Chains tunes from the Unplugged album or Jar of Flies, that is some of the best stuff that I have played

Good call! Nutshell, although not drop-D, is my favorite warmup song. that chord progression just kills me.
Nice name by the way.
