john mayer-daughters -rhythm guitar

Unread post by hattrck24 » Tue Jan 17, 2006 7:31 pm

my friend and i are playing this song in our high school talent show. we are using the tab for the song from jmtabs.com and during the bridge we are unsure what to do with the rhythm guitar. The tab they have at the bridge is for the lead guitar which i am playing but we dont know what to do for the rhythm guitar at this point. We would both play it but we can never get the hammer on-pull off to synchronize so it sounds bad. Anyone who can either tab something out to play as rhythm during this or just give any insight at all would be helpful. http://www.jmtabs.com/tabs.php?p=4008 < link to the tab we are using

Just have one of you not play a hammer-on. Im just asking....but do either of you know how to count music? Because it really shouldnt be that hard to synch up if there is an understanding on which beat the hammer-on comes on.

we know how to count music and its not that the hammer on is that far off but you can tell its not exactly the same time. we will most likely just end up one of us not doing the hammer on part. but does anyone have something different that could be played under the bridge part? i may be asking a retarded question i dont know.

is there anything that can be played so we play two seperate parts during this and still sound good?

Are you speaking of the "Boys You Can Break......" Chords??

If so they are:

"Boys you......"
------------------
--10---8---7-----
--9----9---7------
--10---8---7------
--x---------x------
--10---8---7------

"Find out how much...

------------
--7--5--5---
--6--6--7---
--5--5--7---
--x--x--x----
--5--5--7----

"Boys will be strong, and carry on........" and then there is that litte run...

--0------5----0--0--0--0-------
--3--3--3-----2--3--5--7--------
--0--2--3-----0--0--0--0---------
--2--0--3-----2--4--5--7---------
--2--x--x-----0--0--0--0-----------
--0--2--3-----0-----0--------------
