KELLER and MOE. New years.

Unread post by Miller1221 » Thu Jan 12, 2006 9:00 am

Well, during the week before new years, i attended a concert by keller williams in fredericksburg, VA. We drove up from GA, an 8 hour drive to see him. If you have never seen him live, you are really missing out. IT was my second time seeing him live and it was just as amazing as the first. We got our front row spot right in front of his bass which was insane. He covered another brick in the wall, shakedown street by greatful dead, whole lotta love by led zepplin, freekshow by ani difranco, along with tons of his amazing originals. The energy at keller shows are amazing. you can feel the heat in the room.
We went to keller on monday, then on friday went to asheville to see moe. on the night before new years eve, then again the next night. IT was my first time seeing them live and it was def. an experience. All of their sets were amazing. The members in that band are all insane at what they play. I got my video camera in for that one and have a couple of videos, if anyone has never checked them out. haha its kind of shaky due to dancing though.
Just thought i would let everyone know about this amazing time i had, and dont pass up the chance to see moe. or keller if they come around. we are already planning on seeing moe. in atlanta for two nights in the beginning of march, which should be really good.

I got to see Keller on NYE when he opened for Umphrey's. Unfortunately we didn't catch his set, but I have seen him before and he his by far my favorite solo performer. He did come out and play half a dozen songs with Umphrey's that were just amazing. He's a great musician.

I havent seen moe. since Bonaroo '04 I think. I saw them something like 15 times in 2 years, right when they started to break into bigger concert venues. I think the first time I saw them there were maybe 500 people there. The last time there were more like 50,000.

If you have any ideas as far as "bird song" (snow and rain song) and that first riff in "juggler" (might just be the verse, not sure) id really appreciate ur help. Ive only got one JamMan so i wouldnt really be able to go all out like keller does but i really like the feel of those songs... thanks
