Who exactly is Tim Reynolds?
ok ok, before eeryone jumps down my throat and everything, i obviously know of him, but only through Dave. Yes i know hes an amzing guitarist and stuff, but only through dave (once again) i did a search and so much shit came up a figured a few people wouldnt mind to spend a few minuts to drop me a sentence or two. Just pretty much what i am wondering is who is he and how did he get to play with dave

I'd suggest you check that out, he has some serious talent!
As I understand it, he was already established in the Cville music scene when Dave was still bartending...playing the sitar, guitar, djembe, and something else I think. Dave and him met, and they started playing? I don't really know.
I do know that Tim's guested on most of their albums except for Busted Stuff..and he's a 'friend' in Dave and Friends.

Thats all correct. The first song Dave & Tim played together was "Pay For What You Get" at Millers (bar Dave bartended at) in Charlottesville. It explains it very well in VH1 Driven episodeb_fost wrote:www.timreynolds.com

I take every gif I watch (which is A LOT) with a humongous grain of salt. But I don't let that grain of salt get into my eye and blind me to whatever truth can be found in what I'm watching. He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

My personal opinion is that Tim as always been Dave's muse and probably one of the folks the introduced Dave to some of the inverted and not your typical open chord position chords.
Dave is a star, truly. However one of his true strengths is how he found the top musicians around him including Timmy.

I wonder that! Tim was into solo experimentation on all kinds of instruments back then and dave was kind of acoustic rock (I guess thats how I would classify it). I don't think Tim ever really played an acoustic until he met Dave or if he did it was very rare.czech wrote:does anyone else wonder why Tim wanted to play with dave back then?

For those of you that are "on the fence" with regards to Tim's solo work, I would HIGHLY recommend going to see him live. For one thing, you can mostly see him live for $15 or less....it is just absurd how cheap his tickets go for. He is amazing live.
The other thing that struck me is how approachable he is. You can walk in while he is soundchecking (at least where I have seen him), and talk with him before and after the show.
And yes he does sing!

You're only as strong as the tables you dance on.
