Crafter guitar

I started playing with a Crafter ... looks very good, the play is nice and all ... it costed me around 400$ that was 2½ years ago. I like it, I really do but I think I could get better now that I know more about guitar. I'd say like the others and look on a Larrivée ... or personnally, my next one will something made by Norman

Hey man, I have a crafter, and I love it. Although I do agree with most of the guys here that Larrive's are amazing guitars. My crafter cost me $1000 can. but I felt I was getting a good guitar in terms of features (solid rosewood back/sides, abalone inlay with a pickup & case). It has a really nice sound to it and plays very well. I've also played several larrives and they play & sound amazing.

It's a tough decision, the best scenario would be to play them side by side and then decide.

The type of your crafter is also GAE, so I think it will be quite similar to the one I considered.
Important criteria for me are also the cutaway and the pick-up. And since I'm a left-hand player, the range is VERY narrow.

The larrivees are expensive at my dealer. Plus they don't have many left-handed version of their guitars. That kind of led me to rule them out.

Your version of of the 7-serie. The price and the quality increase, the higher the serie number is I think. So one from the 30 or 33 serie could be quite competitive to a Larrivee (maybe;).

What was the pickup like (if it has one)? was it any good?

no ... there's no pickup on it ... but i did try one with pickups and the friend of mine who helped me buy it said they were good but not the best
