He has quite a few posts worth reading, actually. But he likes to be inflamatory for the sake of being inflamatory, too. Just ignore him. He likes the attention.b_fost wrote:fatjack wrote:learn a new song for fuck's sake
I don't think I've ever seen you post something worth reading.

I'm real sick of hearing people say things like this, Stream especially is a song that once you learn it, you just improvise, or change certain parts whenever you play it...anyone with any musical creativity whatsoever will understand this.Batstone wrote:hey.. nice.. but ureally need to practice the fast shredding part. the improv.. make it faster, and clearer.. and hold the 3 chords for the right time....

I don't recall loz ever asking anyone for their opinion on his performance. This is not the recording & critiquing forum. I asked him to post his tutorial on this song. His performance is better than any other I have heard on this site so those who are passing judgement either need to put up or shut up.
He is posting to help people who don't know how to play this song out. It's easy to figure out why some people don't post on this site to help people out. I don't know why this post has turned into a flaming post. If you don't like his performance or you don't like the fact that he is trying to help someone out who requested then go waste someone else's time on another thread in the ndmb thread.

Glad to see you have a legit argument. Makes it pretty obvious that you have no creativity, which seperates the musicians from the typical player who can only go by the book.dmbguitar718 wrote:...No. You're wrong.CBalvarez wrote:I'm real sick of hearing people say things like this, Stream especially is a song that once you learn it, you just improvise, or change certain parts whenever you play it...anyone with any musical creativity whatsoever will understand this.Batstone wrote:hey.. nice.. but ureally need to practice the fast shredding part. the improv.. make it faster, and clearer.. and hold the 3 chords for the right time....

I was going to back myself up, but I figure it was such a pointless argument that it would be useless.
But just for you:
Musical creativity does have its limits. If I was to record Stream, but have a 6 minute section of me strumming random chords with me screaming some nonsense gibberish while simultaneously slapping my guitar with a poptart, would that show that I have tremendous musical creativity?
You're totally missing the point here. It's not about the guy being musically creative and someone not appreciating it. Batstone was just pointing out something he thought the guy could improve on - and he was right. You can't just sacrifice your playing like that for the sake of "musical creativity".
I don't really know what else to say. Oh - this line: "anyone with any musical creativity whatsoever will understand this" was hilarious. Just letting you know.
I'm done.
