Oar - Hey Girl solo help!

Unread post by magic2584 » Wed Nov 30, 2005 10:54 pm

I'm having trouble getting the solo down in the live version of Hey Girl by OAR. If anyone can offer up some help that would be greatly appreicated. If someone can tell me how, i can upload the solo clip to U-Send-it or whatever so you can hear it.

Thanks

I'm at work right now so I don't have a chance to listen to the exact solo your asking about. However play around with E minor pentatonic and you can easily come up with your own solo that will sound just as good.

You can get any O.A.R. song by playing around with the Pentatonic scale. And I'm not complimenting their use of it either.

Yea they pretty much use that scale the entire time, all of OAR is pretty much the same progressions, but I still enjoy them quite a bit so whatever. If you need the lamens explination, use your root on the 12th fret and do the easy scale, use alot of bends on the G string and you pretty much have the solo
