for a 1/2 step down, put a capo on the first fret and tune to standard. then take the capo off and shazam your inslimerdmb24 wrote:Nuladion wrote:If I wanted to tune down a 1/2 step, do I hold down on the second ferret for them all, and the first for the B, and then use my tuner regularly?![]()
But seriously, don't hold anything down.
Use the tuner and tune it.

I really detest this method, being that if you have the capo on, you are putting different tensions on the strings, therefore effecting their tune. Take it off and they will go out of tune instantly. Also, if the capo bends the strings at all when it's put on, they will tune bent and then be out of tune when unbent.ekoositk wrote:for a 1/2 step down, put a capo on the first fret and tune to standard. then take the capo off and shazam your inslimerdmb24 wrote:Nuladion wrote:If I wanted to tune down a 1/2 step, do I hold down on the second ferret for them all, and the first for the B, and then use my tuner regularly?![]()

Those ferrets really piss me off. I've got a qwik tune though, so i'll probly have to go with that method.slimerdmb24 wrote:I really detest this method, being that if you have the capo on, you are putting different tensions on the strings, therefore effecting their tune.
