Need to know some scales
It seems the only scales i know are just a penatonic scale and your standard e-f-g-a-b-c-d-e

i just wanna know some scales as like a base for somethin to jam with, maybe some blues/jazz scales, some other rock scales, it just seems whenever i doodle its always penatonic style

I would recommend checking out "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Music Theory" by Micheal Miller. It has a ton of useful information about everything in your post.
Also worth looking at (assuming you play guitar...) is a book about applied theory...theory (scales, all that fun stuff) as it is used to play guitar. Search amazon for "guitar theory handbook", if it's still in print.
