espeically on storytellers...how is he doin that crazy swooshy sound??? I have the video and i see what hes doin with the fingers but what the hell pedal is doin it. I know hes got the delay and volume but i really dont see how that would do it...

i have a huge electric setup that i experiement around with and closest thig i could get was with a wah and distortion and delay

He uses his looping equipment, a wah wah pedal, and delay.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

His setup for Storytellers as well as the 1999 T & D tour was as follows:

Martin D-35->Morley Wah/Volume->Boss DD-5 Digital Delay->Countryman DI. He also did use a slide.

For DDTW he tuned to drop D as did Dave. He used the wah as well as the backwards mode on the DD-5 on parts. But at the beginning he's using successive downstrokes and starting with the wah in the toe up position and slowly pushing his toe down.
