A Heart in New York

Unread post by Davy28 » Fri Sep 05, 2003 2:57 am

So there's this really pretty song on Simon and Garunkel's concert in central park that I just love called "A Heart in New York." Garfunkel sings his heart out in it for the new yorkers of the audience. I'd love to learn how to play the melodious guitar part for it, but when I try to search online for the tab, I can't find it ANYWHERE. Its as if the song does not exist. One problem could be that it might be a cover song and I don't know who originally wrote it. If Garfunkel wrote it, I have no clue where to find it because it never shows up when I search for it. Anybody like this song and know where I could find an online tab for it?

Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Well, I don't see it on there, but here's a GREAT simon and garfunkel tab site. You can click on the bottom to go to the home page, and find lyrics and such, and even tons of more info.

It comes right before kodachrome in the concert in central park. Its really short, but I just love the way the guitar part complements Garfunkel's voice. Its one of those snippets of music that gives you goosebumps to listen to(an earlier thread mentioned something like that).

It did. To make it sound like in the concert, the capo has to be on the sixth fret instead of the fifth, but it sounds wonderful regardless.
Thanks, Roast.

Great! By the way, Google Groups is your friend:

http://www.google.com/grphp

That's where I found it. It's a search of all Internet newsgroups/Usenet since the early 90's. Great resource for all sorts of stuff....

Glad I could help!
