Tennessee ppl. help me
I'm moving to georgia soon and will be driving through tennessee and probably be staying in Nashville. For you ppl. that live in tennessee, i KNOW nashville has to have some kick ass guitar stores so if you could hook me up with some addresses and store name (and website if they have it) it would be a big favor. I'm an acoustic player so im lookin for stores that have more acoustic guitars and vintage ones if you know any. Thanks alot.

alright dont live there but make a yearly pilgramidge to the place. dont go to the gibson showcase it sucks. go down town theres a little area with a lot of music stuff. theres 1 place called gruhn. a lot of nice guitar, many old and expensive, others new, some rare ones. i almost played a w65 12er but someone called in and bought it. great place and also valley arts moved down there by them. its heaven, seriously, you will glow with heavenly colors. i havent been to the new one, but its prolly bigger and the one ive been to many times is huge. id walk in and to my left is a wall of les paul customs. then a wall of the valley arts custom guitars. then the gibson electrics, its awesome, all the LP's SG's firebirds whatever you could use. then they have an amazing acoustic selection. plus, they guys who work there are cool, dont care if you play. infact once i was in there and had on my d+t shirt and some you guy was workin, and i asked if i could try a chet on an amp. he grabs a blonde chet and says, lemme take you to the amp dave uses (a fucking $1500 amp) sets it up, it sounded EXACTLY like dave. then we talked about DMB for awhile. great great time. check it out for sure. kills the hell outa the showcase.mattinbeloit wrote:I'm moving to georgia soon and will be driving through tennessee and probably be staying in Nashville. well filmdude...sorry to say...but Valley Arts is closed...i dont know why they closed it, but they have....
anyway, filmdude pretty much touched on all the places id recommend except for Corner Music, which is a smallish shop on 12th Ave. S...obviously its not the super selection of a valley arts or guitar center, but the people there are the most personable because they dont get nearly as many customers at VA or GC.
but really, i like the GC here...a few guys know me by name even though ive dealt with them individually only once...and they have an assload of guitars

no no, i was in valley arts in late march and they didnt have much and they said they were moving, that the store was ready they only had to move the stock and in a few weeks the new one would be open. like is there a building down by gruhn for them? I think i went by corners its alright (thats the place with the guy who has the flock of seaguls right?) most of their guitars are laminate though.
man keep me posted on the valley arts thing i love that place
