Where can I find good Jack Johnson tabs?

This is the place to talk about guitar playing not done by Dave! Topics about techniques, styles, theory, and other guitarists go here.

Like what, that he isn't a good guitar player since he only plays simple stuff?

Isaac, what's the point of posting something like that, contributing nothing to the thread? If his stuff is so simple, why havent you put out a CD yet?

ah...i'm sorry, man. :) JJ has great lyrics. love him for that, and he leaves a lot of room for great jams, especially when he's playing with harper. didn't mean to offend anyone, and i know i didn't contribute to the thread, but there are a lot of people that don't. ;) a few of gcom's posts are in the same vein, yanno? hehe. but i still respect the guy.

again, didn't mean to cause any trouble...just having a little fun. i listen to JJ to relax sometimes, just because it is so simple, and there are just moods where i can't really listen to JJ, and i was in just one of those moods. the little wink was in my original post to throw in some joking atmosphere. i'm spoiled on other stuff, and i've already been bagged before for not liking 311. hehe.

as for the cd question? i'm working on it. ;) a lot of it has to do with having to be in the right place at the right time, and i think JJ was there to fill a certain need in the general music audience and he filled it well. :)

eze3484-- Thank you very much.

isaac-- It's cool. I knew someone was going to say it. Truth be told, I am not that good of a guitar player, so his tabs would be good for me.

Thanks again eze3484.

The News is so good. the simplicity in the lyrics & music - it's just delicious. my favorite JJ song.

like drunks on Sunday
brooding like the blades of a fan on low speed
or a writer with only one good line.

I'd really recommend trying to learn his songs on your own. It will help develop your ear in a big way. They're pretty much all barre chords, so its not like you're going to have to figure out some wacky chord or something to make the song work. I use tab more than I should too, but the extra work pays off in the end...and JJ is a good place to start learning by ear.
