Ive just talked a girl in my school into singing with me when i play guitar and shes pretty good. we wanna start playin open mics and coffeeshops in the area. im tryin to make up a list of like 10 or 12 songs we can learn early. Im lookin for some mello stuff. (i almost said chill, but then i thought of you kukini) i dont want it to be too dmb heavy, but we agree that we're gonna play alot of his stuff. heres the for sures at this point. (we will most likely also have a second guitar) shes really into jack johnson, but i only have his one album on and on. any suggestions guys?

"Something in the way she moves" is a great song. He has a whole bunch of really great feel good kind of songs.
Just remember to use a capo unless she has a particularly low voice for a girl. She'll probably be much more comfortable transposed up at least a whole step. Just work with her to find here range and where she's most comfortable with each song.
Congrats man, that's very cool you're taking the initiative to get out there and perform.

thanks mike, it seems to me like shes gonna be up like half a step, either way its gonna be cool. she has a fantastic voice and when we really get down to practicin ill try and post some stuff.
