i put a beer bottle in a shoe-box(to keep glass of my floor) and wrapped it in a cloth. then put a screwdriver on the spot i wanted the bottle to break. hit the end of the screwdriver with a hammer, and filed down the sharp edges.
Yea, i know, im cheap. works though.

when i made mine, i was havin trouble cuttin through the outer layer with the hacksaw so i took my dremmel and put a cutting wheel on it, and it didnt cut it butu when i got it to 35,000 rpm it got the glass so hot that i heard a "PIINNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg"
and the glass cracked the whole way around the neck, then i broke it off.
