This isn't really guitar-related, but it's a question about John Lennon. In "Working Class Hero," the line "And you think you're so clever and classless and free/ But you're still fucking peasents as far as I can see, " appears. Do you think "fucking" is an adjective, as in satirically criticizing the poor, or a verb, meaning that people think they don't care about classes, but they're still screwing the peasants? I just thought it was an interesting line.

either hes talking about the rich fucking the peasants or hes telling them to wake up and do something about it.
but, it seems like all of the better writers leave ambiguity

I think he's using the word fucking to show you how pissed he is about the truth of his song.
These hard working people are just fucking peasants is a criticism of the Bablyon system that keeps people down.
