if clapton, hendrix, and srv think a strat has something that works than I don't see how anyone can say they aren't that great. Maybe you don't like them for your personal taste, but you can't go around making genralizations when so many people play strats and love them. I happen to think that a les paul is too heavy and I don't like the feel of it, but I am not trying to say the Les Paul isn't an awesome guitar, it's just not for me.
Oh and same thing can go for the Martin/Taylor argument. They are both awesome and everyone has their own style.

strats are not boring. you can really control the tone and i love how they feel. I have a tele and i like it just fine.. but i think i prefer strats.
and its true, you can pick out a strat from a tele from a les paul by ear. they are very distinct. and the squier ones suck.

we can have our opinions... richard petty drove a ford... they still suck. (and my dad works for ford!)saleen wrote:if clapton, hendrix, and srv think a strat has something that works than I don't see how anyone can say they aren't that great.
