Leo Kottke & Dave are two different styles of guitar playing. They cant really be compared. But yes Leo Kottke is unbelievable. Highly recommend listening to "Watermelon" by Leo Kottke off his Six & Twelve String Guitar cd...

I saw him at moe.down this year and he wasn't bad, but it seemed like all he did was talk about his guitar and his amp, and how Carvin products are so good. it turned me off of his music and i ended up leaving his set early.

huh, he didn't do that at all. it was more like storytellers. he told stories between songs then played. But wow is he good.

He's right though, Carvin products are very nice, I love my Carvin acoustic. 8)riffduster01 wrote:I saw him at moe.down this year and he wasn't bad, but it seemed like all he did was talk about his guitar and his amp, and how Carvin products are so good. it turned me off of his music and i ended up leaving his set early.

Leo's defin. the man and has been for years, but don't try to copy his style, his technique is unorthodox in many respects.
If you like Leo Kottke then you surely will like Keller Williams, a man influenced heavily by Leo.

It's from anthology. And that song is sweet I think he played it when I saw him. And listedn to Busted Bicycle also on the Anthology. Sweet.You_Enjoy_Myself wrote:Oh, and I recommend listening to "Cripple Creek", not sure what album it's off, but I love it. It's a really fun song to play in open D.
