You don't always have to have amazing technique to be a good guitarist.
Kurt's playing is recognizable and even though it could be argued that it's simple, it's still powerful and very good.
Bob Dylan's a guy who is underrated as a guitarist. He mastered the basics and some of the "simpler" things that some new guitarists take for granted.

"You don't always have to have amazing technique to be a good guitarist. "
Change that to "You don't always have to have amazing technique to be a good artist. " and Ill buy it.
Curt was crap. He had the skills he needed to get his point across. Just barely.
Compare with Neil Young. Also, not a very good technical guitarist, but Young had style coming out the wazoo. Thats why he is considered to be good.
Granted, I would still rather listen to Nirvana than Satriani or one of those other 'tech-gurus' because I think Satch's music is way to 'sterile' to convey emotion.
Anyway, I am making no sense, so Ill give up.

i was just exagerating, i was just commenting on the striking similarities between their songs.Ryeguy wrote:nirvana songs are very easy to play..but its impossible to be able to stumble upon the rythems and notes to "every track"..
