no way are takamine's garbage.
my friend got an absolutely beautiful soundin takamine (i don't know the exact model) electric acoustic for $350 Canadian.
It kicks the horse dung out of any other guitar in that price range...
New Guitar suggestions??

Besides the fact that I play a Takamine, so I'm biased...They are definitely NOT crap...pennywisetheclown wrote:with $400, id go used. i got my first guitar, a charvel acoustic/electric, for $300, and it sounds great. the ovations are garbage, and ibanez and takamine arent much better. if youve gotta get a new one tho, i guess ibanez is the best. the main thing you wanna look for in an acoustic is solid wood. you dont want laminates. but thats gonna be hard to find in your price range. good luck tho.
Besides the fact that they sound awsome plugged in, they have a rich, booming acoustic sound when unplugged...Now I'm not saying that my EF341SCX is comparable to an hd-28v or a 914ce, but with Takamines you get what you payed for, especially when you get into the solid body models...
...but thats just my opinion, I could be wrong...(though that's highly unlikely)
