I need help with the verse part. I can't pick it up for some reason or another. I think a video would really help. I use the Stanford tab for the song.

all of this verse strumming except for the lead into the chorus is palm muted, so 
mute the strings with the palm of your strumming hand...also, he really only plays the
A and D strings and sometimes hits the open G string, but these are the positions he uses

don't get so cocky bro.. Matty's JJ tabs are quite accurate from what I hear.. He tabs from videos. I doubt that anything could even sound good being played as your tab you posted.. it just sounds weird. Personally I can't play the song(Not a JJ fan) but i'm sure matty's tab is better then the one you posted

first of all, 'your' verse is just copy and pasted from reed's site

and yes, it is wrong

i've never said my tabs go along with studio recordings, because the stuff he does live is what makes jack so incredible to me, so that's what i listen to...my tab is what jack plays live

Where was I getting cocky. I never said your completely wrong no arguement. I said you could very well be right.

And I know for a fact that my way is A right way, AND there probably ARE OTHERS.

Plus I didnt copy it from reeds site i dont even know who reed is. But it just so happened that the previously posted verse is exactly what I play so instead of wasting my time typing it i just copied it from a previous post. There is nothing wrong with that. Apparently im not the only one who thinks this is a good way of playing it. I have never seen JJ live so I wouldnt know what he plays live. I play the studio version of it.
