it just clicks. i learned Grey street in.....november? and i just sang it last week. but the next song doesn't take as long as the first. i've got quite a few i can do now. the bad thing is i play along with thte CDs and i use that as a sort of crutch, i need to memorize the songs better. i thought i knew them all pretty well, but i guess i don't. keep playing, it'll come... :)

when I'm driving in my car I can totally wail but then when I get home and pick up my guitar and start to sing, I'm half tempted to put some earplugs in. Am I really singing good in my car (probably cuz I know nobody can hear me) or does it just sound good because I can hear the music muffle out my "shreiks"?

different places have different acoustics. showers and cars sound good :P a lot of it is probably the restraint. it's a lot easier to wail when a blasting stereo is backing you up compared to just one guitar. it's scary.

I try to sing when I play. But once I open my mouth, I stop playing the guitar. I just can't do them at the same time right now.

I have a horrible voice anyway.

i find instead of trying to think in two directions just stop thinking. haha. i know that sounds dumb but i mess up when i start thinking and singing about what im playing. im sure this makes no sense to anyone else but it works for me.
if i were giving advice to someone on how to fly.....
