Types of songs...

Unread post by 41SweetWorld » Fri May 23, 2003 11:32 am

Hey guys..got a question. Are there certain types of progressions that people use for different types of songs. ie. what progressions(or chords) do you normally find when you write a sad song..or when your writing a "happy song" or just a song to a girl or about whatever...or what would be people's picks or have even used to write songs before..don't worry I won't steal anything..just looking for some ideas. Thanks guys
I'm only this far and only tomorrow leads my way

well, minors generaly add "stress" (which brings a heavy feel)...and majors keep things cheery...
