Im really a fan of everything except rap hip hop and r&b. Rap and hip hop really isnt music.

There is no singing just talking, and no musical instruments of any kind. Its all computerized. And if there is music its a drummer or bassist who doesnt know what they are doing.

R&B really is music but it just sucks.

The song that pisses me off the most is "Yea". Its like the dude couldnt think of any other lyrics so he just wrote yea a thoasand times and made a tons of money off of crap like that. Then put his legs together and started moving back a forth and made tons more money for doing nothing.

The 60s and 70s need to come back so rap and all that crap can stop poisoning the airways.

maybe you should expose yourself to more hip hop...just because someone isn't playing a guitar in there doesn't mean it isn't music

as much as i hate to admit it(because i hate rap and hip hop too) its true. rap does take skill, because rhymes like stuff eminem comes up with doesnt just grow on trees.

i cant believe im supporting rap but i dont love it but alot of rap songs do have guitars u just have to listen for it.... would anyone know that hey ya had a guitar if it wasnt in the video....
there is a rap cover band that i happen to catch every now and again....they play their own instruments ...just bass guitar drunms and 2 singers.... off the top of my head i was really drunk last time i seen them but they played....no diggity , hey ya, poison by bell biv whatever, and alot of other stuff....so i have to stand up for rap...and hell i could play tripping billies but i cant rap

I've addressed this problem that my fiance had with thinking that if I am playing guitar, I must be bored or have nothing else to do. It seems to never fail. She could be sitting watching TV, and I go in my room to play guitar, and within 5 minutes, "Honey, why don't you (enter household duty here)"

Since I've addressed it, she knows that if guitar is coming from my room, anything she says does not fucking get heard or acknowledged.

When I lived at home, I never had any problems with the 'rents. My dad hates music, especially electric guitar. So, on weekends when my mom was at work, I would play metal and slowly crank my amp up louder and louder until he went for a "drive". Then I'd stop and go watch TV or whatever with the house to myself. Fuckin' dick.

1. You've obviously never heard any of Eminem's stuff other than his radio hits. Most of the time he is an amazing lyricist.
2. You've also obviously never heard any of The Roots, Jurassic 5, etc. That is music.
3. The stuff you're talking about is the pop mainstream R&B/Rap shit, and I agree, it is shit. But not all hip-hop and rap is bad.
