for lyrics I suggest a stream of conscious....

basically think about this girl and just write and write not really caring as to how it sounds or looks or anything, just write.... about what happened, how she looked, everything, the way the sun shined in your heart, what is different about her, what makes her unique, what you love, why you love, what have you's...don't worry about grammer, just let your mind roll.

go back and read what you wrote and pick out the best lines and go from there. You want it to be special, just for her.

just a thought...

Keep in mind songs dont have to rhyme they just have to flow well, though rhyming is the easiest way to make a song flow. Another thing is you cant teach someone how to write. You can learn different techniques but knowing every technique may not make you a good writer. But as i read your lyrics they seemed really good. But you need a little more like a chorus. Pull something out of you man. It may take longer than you want. One of the biggest reasons most artists dont come out with studio cds every year is because it can take two or three years to write 15 really good songs. It may take a month but you'll find it eventually.

I had a song kinda like that a while ago that I wrote, messed around with and I used these chords for the chorus. X32010, X33010, X33211 They're all pretty similar in tone; they're C, a weird C# kinda deal, and F/F#, but if you strum them slow and with a little "sparkle" and some cool timing it comes out nice, at least I thought so considering I wrote it, lol Hope it helps!!

Thats a cool site. I'll add it to the sticky.

Just remember that a song is crap without a good melody.
