having trouble reading tab?

having trouble reading tab?

ok i generally understand how to read it but i am kind of confused when like there are only like two notes together like so: D--10--9 i dont really understand do i just pick the two notes or what A--12-12
and help?

well that first one you showed, you played the 10th fret of the D string(which is the note C) and then you play the 9th fret of the D string(which is a B)...and the second one you pick the 12th fret of the A string(which is an A) twice....

thanks but i didnt mean it to come out that way
i meant it to be like D--10--9

I think you're trying to say this:

D--10--9 
A--12--12
and in that case, you would play 12 and 10 together and then 12 and 9 together
