Chicagoland Acoustic Guitar

Unread post by jjcucio » Thu Jul 01, 2004 11:06 am

I have been playing for a little over a year and enjoy acoustic guitar in every way. I dont know of any Chicagoland bars or little coffehouses that have people playing there. I dont really care to play for anyone, just listen...and enjoy. If anyone has any suggestions, even open mic's are not out of the question. I appreciate any input that anyone might have.

Up by Wrigley Field, theres alot of small bars/clubs. Last time I was up there, I caught an open mic. Also, I dont know if it happens alot, but the bars by urbana-champaign are packed with open mics.

Google or Yahoo Yellowpages... ChicagoTribune.com (Entertainment section)... Just search online, I'm sure you'll find something. If you're on the southside, in the Orland Park area there's a place called MoJo's that used to do open mic, but it's a teeny-bopper spot as far as I know. Or a place near Lamont off of archer or Kingly or something... a coffeeshop on a hill. I can't think of the name, but you could search the above and find out more than I know, and I'm in the area...peace
