I take every gif I watch (which is A LOT) with a humongous grain of salt. But I don't let that grain of salt get into my eye and blind me to whatever truth can be found in what I'm watching. He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

Beck Hanson, or Jeff Beck? I like them both (Jeff Beck is more talented on the guitar, but Hanson is just so original all the time, and every album of his is completely different. Thought he keeps changing, his fans still go with him). I also love Beck Hanson's latest album, and love the music video to the single.

nice thread by the way ranting....my biggest influences for electric HAVE to be...Page, Anastasio, Reynolds(especially), and clapton.....as for acoustic, the reason i first picked up a guitar was to learn "what would you say" so dave is up there....clapton and timmy again, and howie day, just because the way he revolutionized solo acoustic guitar.....peace

Even though no one has listed him, I'd have to say Keith Richards was my first influence. I love The Rolling Stones and picked up a guitar because of his playing. As of now, I'm still influenced by Keith, but also:

Clapton: love listening to him play, especially the Unplugged CD.
Dylan: always loved him; first songs I learned on guitar were his.
Dave: I really don't think I have to say anything...
