can anyone play this song? i can't quite get the timing right for the beginning. anyone who can help please let me know.

the timing is just 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4. pluck a string on every count. its hard to get your hard in the right position in time though...

do you have a specific part you need help on?

that's the thing...i play along...and what i have to do is play the A minor chords twice...then that weird chord once each with a different note on the B string each time. then the F# type chord twice...then the F and E once each for it to work...i don't know if hta tmade sense or not....

that sounds right. this song is just one of those that you have to practice to get the timing down. same thing with street spirit by radiohead, that took me a while as well.

this was one of the first songs I learned to play. I could never get it right either until I started using my thumb over the neck for the bass notes. also, I know it sounds wierd, but concentrate on getting your fingers to the notes on the top of the chord first, it will give you time to get your other fingers down there for the rest of the high strings. I take it you are alternating your picking too?

i'm fingerpicking. i actually got it. the problem was not doing it. the problem was understanding what to do. but i figured it out...and its awesome now.

This is one of those songs that makes you stop cheating and use all your fingers to finger pick it...that said, it stil gives me probs...oh well, practice practice practice :D
