Anyone know the...

Unread post by shaboogie25 » Thu Mar 20, 2003 9:45 pm

Hey I was just listening to the Folsom Field CD and had Watchtower goin. I noticed in the beginning the introduction sounded really good. I'm talking about the part Dave plays while Steffan is doing that bass intro. I don't know this intro and would really like to learn it, which is why I'm asking if anyone has tabs for it? Any help or info is appreciated.

Thanks

try this:

Code: Select all

E:------------------------------------------
B:---0h1--1------0h1--1--0------1------0h1--
G:---2----2------2----2--2------2------2----
D:------------------------------------------
A:-0----------------------------------------
E:-------------3--------------1-------------
with lots of improv and variation thrown in.

thanks for that tab, I had gotten something close to that, but it was only strumming the open strings and hammering on the Am chord. thanks again

I don't have folsom field, but I am pretty sure I might know what you're talking about, he does the same thing on Chicago. I actually submitted this tab here a while ago, but he hasnt put it up yet... click the link, it should open up in a word file, or notepad...

i also have an audio clip of it here, so you can see if it sounds the same..

Along this same line, does anyone have the general gist of Stefan's bass intro on FF (or LS for that matter)? Everytime I hear that I wanna whip out my bass and jam out on that. I can tell basically what he's playing, but the angle is not very conducive to tabbing from what I can tell - i can't even tell if he's doing it on the 4th or 5th string (hopefully 4th since i have a 4string)
