Solsbury Hill?
When Dave and Friends covered this tune did Dave play or just sing? The copy i've got I can only hear an electric playing the main riff. I guess i'm looking for a decent solo guitar tab for the song. Anyone know how Peter Gabriel plays it?

Gabriel plays acoustic along with the piano or vice versa. At D&F, Dave played acoustic and sang, ray played piano, timmy played an accompanying part on electric, and trey might have doubled dave's part on electric until the part where he cranked up the destortion for the power chords near the end.
guitartabs.cc has a decent tab of the gabriel version.

Dave does play at all? Are you kidding? Damn, the guitar part isn't that hard. i could see why he would not want to play the guitar part for american tune, but solsbury hill? Thats weak.

I doubt it was because it was too hard for him - perhaps he feared the song would sound too 'busy' if they all played.Davy28 wrote:Dave does play at all? Are you kidding?
