Unread post by mastermindmatthews3436 » Sun May 16, 2004 11:01 pm

im watchin this crossroads thing on cmt, and boy i am not a mayer fan and i hate country, but i am lovin this shit. paisley can play guitar and mayer is actually jamming out to some of his tunes which is cool cause he is definitly one bas ass dude at his blues but still...by the way anyone hear their acoustic rendition of old love?? very bad ass, anyway i know this has been on for awhile but still anyone else impressed with their performance??

really great. I think Mayer can solo better than Paisley, but I enjoyed Paisley singing Mayer's songs more than Mayer.

is there a link i'm not seeing? the only one i can find is for the "why georgia" video.

this show has been on about 20 times and i missed every single one of them :(

it just showed again though and i got to see the last song they did and i have to say that these two go great together. i kind of like mayer's voice and i think on that last song they really complimented each other. it shows again on thursday and hopefully i'll be able to see that one.

but i'm watching this behind the music thing on paisley right now, and i can't help but see how amazing his career has been so far. brad paisley is the freakin' man :D any other fans out there?

I just watched it tonight, it was on at 9 EST, and I have to say, I was blown away. They both did one hell of a job, I really enjoyed watching it. I'll admit to being a Mayer fan, and I'm hard into Country, so this was an awesome show to watch for me. I'm sure it will be on again during the week, so if you haven't seen it, I would highly recommend seeing it :-D

THANK YOU :D

i just watched the whole thing and i have to say that i was really suprised by paisley! that guy can play! but for some reason he never really lets loose in his music, probably because of the genre. but i definatley think that he could stand toe to toe with mayer.

i think that was the best crossroads i've ever seen :)

does anyone know if these things come out on cd?

I'd buy the CD of this in a hearbeat. Both were right on the money that night. Maybe it will shut up both sides that say Mayer sucks and country singers have no talent.

I admit, the older I get, the more I like country. Not sure why. All I listen to lately is folky/country music. And lots of DMB, of course.

Edit: I had to vote for paisly being the better soloer that night. Sorry.

Mayer solos much better, but Paisley is better all around, Mayer's voice is testing my patience
