Hmmm...Since December 2002 and I was 27. Wish I would have started younger. Are there any famous guitar players that started late? Curious :?

I know a lot of GOOD guitar players that started late. Most 'famous' guitar players are just ready to start on the downslide at 27. There are exceptions that stay famous as pro guitar players into senior status(i.e. Keith Richards), but they are the 1 in a million and most of them started young anyway.

So if your goal is to be a good guitar player, don't sweat it, you have plenty of time. If your goal is to be rich and famous, starting at age 27, the 1 in a million shot a being a rockstar goes to 1 in a billion :) It's better to be good than famous... all that money and sex would just go to your head anyway :)

started playing on my eighteenth birthday, april 12, 1998 and i'm 24 now..
carry the 2.....six years :)
my first guitar was a honer countryman, and it sucked balls. gave it to a hippie on the side of the road who said he wished he still had his guitar.
if that bastard gets famous he'd better give me a call
