best songs in dadgad ?

I actually just wrote a song last night in dadgad. If i can get it recorded sometime today ill post it over in the recordings board.

Someone mentioned Celtic stuff. Some of the greatest exponents of the acoustic guitar play in DADGAD and other alternate tunings. Check out Martin Simpson, Pierre Bensusan, El McMeeen, Michael Hedges et al. There is a book and CD called Ramble to Cashiel (sp?) that has loads of great tunes as long as you are into fingerstyle playing.

Reznik actually tunes in a more Lou Reed "Ostrich" tuning for Iris, (5 strings of the 6 are tuned to the same note), but you can play it almost exactly the same way in open d tuning, that song gets you chicks man lol...and while we're at "Chick Getting" My Sacrifice by Creed is in the tuning as well.

Led Zeppelin has been suggested a lot, so I'll add another.

Going to California

The versions I've heard are double drop-d I'm pretty sure. And yeah, coming up with songs is pretty fun that way. I'm kinda addicted.
