What is everyone's hand size?

Unread post by cmcdmb » Wed Nov 13, 2002 8:49 am

Ok so get out the ruler and measure from your pinky to your thumb, and see what the biggest distance you can reasonably stretch. Mine is 10in. I have really big hands...(size 14 shoe).(.......and I won't even mention the size of my jimi thing........)

uh, and by jimi thing i mean arm length, of course :)

smaller nimble fingers are better for speed and agility on the neck. That's why I suck. my hand span is about 9 1/2 inches more or less. I'm 5'10 but have long lanky fingers. gcom, can you play Loose Interpretations by Tim Reynolds? If you could I might be impressed
good, and you?

I just noticed this, but my left hand is about 5% bigger than the right one. All my fingers are longer on my left hand, that's nuts! The stretch on my left hand is about an inch longer, too! I guess this guitar stuff is a really good work out...

Hey man I know what you mean....
My left hand is about 3/4 of an inch bigger than my right hand..thats kinda scarey!!!

It reminds me of the difference in forearm width for tennis players...have you even seen Pete Sampras's left arm compared to his right? whew its crazy!!
