In Step or the Austin City Limits DVD are also good places, but certainly Texas Flood or El Mocambo are probably better places to start.

I got into SRV backwards through a cassette of In Step, and it worked fairly well for me.

Sometimes when I reflect on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. I think, "It is better to drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.

Pride and Joy. One of the first songs I heard from him and I've been hooked ever since. All of his other stuff is great too though

SRV is my favorite guitarist so honestly any of his stuff is good, imo. But definitely start with Texas Flood, thats probably his most popular work and should have some stuff you've heard before on it.

If your lookin for a dvd to watch, check out Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble Live at Montreux 1982 & 1985. One of his best live performances.
