hey everyone...i just bought a new pickup for my guitar and i was wondering what prices would be to have installed to my guitar. the pickup i bought was LR Baggs Element Active System. i thought maybe $30 to have installed but i just wanted to hear what ya'll thought ...thanks

I installed mine myself ... it's a Fishman Natural Matrix II (under the saddle transducer).
It requires a few special tools and a lot of patients. You will have to drill a hole through the sound board under the saddle to run the pickup wire to the jack, use a reamer to enlarge the end pin hole to install the jack, solder a couple of connections, sand down the saddle to compensate for the additional height of the transducer ...
If you own an expensive guitar and you've never done this type of work, it my not be a wise idea to do it yourself.
Sometimes when you buy the guitar and pickup from the same store they will install it for free.
I don't think you will find a guitar tech to install one for $30 ... the local luthier here charges $50-75 depending on the model of the guitar.
Do a search on the net ... I think you will find similar prices.
